United Way of Porter County

Who We Are

While we may be known for our annual campaign, we do much more than fundraise!

United Way focuses on Education, Income and Health priorities to:
-Assess the most pressing community needs
-United and collaborate with 38 agencies and countless community partners
-Address critical issues as well as solve root causes of problems
-Ensure measurable results

United Way of Porter County is home to the AmeriCorps program, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program of Lake, LaPorte and Starke Counties, Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, Young Leaders United young professionals group, and the Power of Youth high school council.

We also participate in regional initiatives like the United Way Regional Volunteer Center, Reading Buddies, and Success By 6.

The Keys to Hope Community Resource Center (KTH) aims to serve the most disenfranchised members of the community. KTH provides a program that has been referred to as the ABC’s to Self-Sufficiency: A for Appearance, B for Behavior and C for Case Management and Courage to Change.  KTH offers participants free showers and laundry amenities, access to computers and the internet, classes, structure, and case management. - See more at: http://www.citizens4homeless.org/keys-to-hope.php#sthash.cI1G4j3X.dpuf
